Introduction

Capera B2B API gives businesses and fintechs a single interface to move money — send payouts, collect payments, and issue virtual accounts across Nigeria and select African markets.

What you can build

Collect payments (Inflow)

  • Issue static NGN virtual accounts tied to your customers so they can pay in at any time
  • Generate dynamic NGN virtual accounts for one-time invoice or order payments with exact-amount enforcement
  • Accept Mobile Money payments from customers across supported countries

Send payouts (Outflow)

  • Transfer NGN directly to any Nigerian bank account
  • Send Mobile Money payouts to phone numbers across supported operators and countries

Manage your data

  • Create and manage customer profiles linked to virtual accounts
  • Track incoming deposits and outgoing transfers with full status history
  • Subscribe to webhooks for real-time event notifications

Base URL

All API requests are made to:

Production:  https://api.withcapera.com/b2b
Staging:     https://api.stg.withcapera.com/b2b

Use the staging environment while building. Switch to production when you are ready to go live.

How the API works

The Capera B2B API is RESTful. All requests and responses use JSON. Authentication is via an API key passed as a Bearer token in the Authorization header.

Every response follows a consistent envelope:

{
  "success": true,
  "data": {},
  "error": null,
  "meta": null,
  "requestId": "req_abc123def456",
  "timestamp": "2024-01-01T12:00:00Z"
}
FieldDescription
successtrue if the request succeeded, false otherwise
dataThe response payload for this endpoint
errorPresent when success is false; contains code and message
metaPagination metadata for list endpoints
requestIdUnique identifier for this request — include it when contacting support
timestampISO 8601 timestamp of the response
